Our Addiction Recovery Program

Second Chances Whole-Self Program

Second Chances Recovery Homes Programs

Addiction recovery can save your life, but it will take everything you’ve got to see it through. Second Chances Recovery Homes offers the comfort and support of home while you walk the hard road to wholeness.

We provide men and women suffering from substance abuse disorders with whole-person, no-holds-barred recovery that makes them truly well and ready for real life. Our program gives residents a chance at a new start through graduated structure and accountability.

Sober Living Homes for Men & Women

Second Chances Recovery Homes has one men’s sober home and one women’s sober home in the Austin area. All homes implement the simple, effective principles 12-Step based recovery in the context of inviting residential settings.

Residents are typically 18 years or older. The length of stay with Second Chances is open-ended, with residents committing on a month-to-month basis. All homes are staffed with managers who live onsite to provide 24-hour support.

Men’s Sober Living

Our Mens Recovery House is an extended care environment perfect for men who need more structure and intensive support. It accepts residents with as little as one day of sobriety.

Our Graduate Program is geared toward those who have completed the 4th step in a 12-Step program and are ready for more independent living, but who still prefer the sobriety-supportive lifestyle of a Second Chances home.

Women’s Sober Living

A House Called Beautiful is an extended care sober living home ideal for those just out of rehab or simply in need of additional support. Pregnant women are welcome.

Our womens home admits those with just one day of sobriety.

A Three-Phase Approach to Recovery

Our three-phase program is designed to build character and reward progressive gains in recovery steps and personal responsibility. Residents progress from phase to phase by meeting program objectives.

Phase 1: The starting point for those in Steps 1-4 of the 12 Steps.
Residents have an earlier curfew, medications are dispensed on a daily basis, and drug testing occurs three times a week.

Phase 2: Reserved for Steps 5-12. Curfew is pushed back a little later.
Medications are dispensed on a weekly basis, with drug testing occurring twice a week.

Phase 3: Residents at Phase 3 have completed their 12-Step program and are actively sponsoring at least two people.
Curfew is later, and medications continue to be distributed weekly. Drug testing occurs just once a week.
